Myra Varnado

Myra Varnado, BS RN CWON CFCN has been a Certified Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse for 24 years, having graduated from Emory University’s WOC Nursing Education Program. She lives in New Orleans and serves as the Director of Clinical Services for Corstrata, a Wound and Ostomy Telemedicine company based in Savannah, GA.
Ms. Varnado provides Wound and Ostomy clinical consultation for patients, facilities, and agencies across the U.S. and develops Wound and Ostomy Telemedicine clinical models utilizing a variety of technologies. She also provides wound and ostomy education programs for health care providers in a variety of settings both nationally and internationally.
Ms. Varnado is a member of the WOCN Society Wound Guidelines Task Force for the past 18 years, who write evidence-based guidelines for the Management of a variety of Wound types. She is the primary author of the Neuropathic and Diabetic Foot Guideline and authors the same as a book chapter for the WOCN Core Curriculum for Wound Management.
Additionally, Ms. Varnado has published numerous wound related papers on topics including Diabetes Charcot foot management, frostbite, biofilm, telemedicine and tissue-based products. ? doesn’t fit
