Supporting Hospital WOC Nurses with Care for their Ostomy Patients

Hospital WOC nurses often find it challenging to continue supporting their ostomy patients after discharge, leaving these individuals without essential guidance for managing their ostomies. To address this issue, Ostomy 101 has partnered with Corstrata to offer virtual clinical consultation services to ostomy patients in their homes. Through this collaboration, hospital WOC nurses can refer their patients to Corstrata's team of WOC nurses, who will provide personalized support and education.

Corstrata's specialized ostomy nurses will assess each patient's needs, recommend supplies, and teach self-care skills. This partnership allows hospital nurses to extend their support beyond the hospital, ensuring patients receive consistent, high-quality care post-discharge without increasing nurses' workloads. The virtual solution is intended to complement the care provided by ostomy nurses, enabling a seamless transition and optimal outcomes for patients adjusting to life with an ostomy.

Enhancing

Patient Care

We can support you in whatever care setting you are in when your caseload is high and unmanageable or during vacation times, sick leave or with special projects that you just do not have the time for.  For instance, if you already have your plate full with wound vac dressing changes and new ostomy patients, define what patients we could specifically see for you to ease your load and improve care needed throughout your organization.
